Well, after graduating from Clinton High School I attended the University of Dubuque for one semester and didn’t care for it there very much. So I transferred to the University of Iowa where I graduated in May of 2002 with a B.A. in Religion and a minor in psychology and history. I moved back to Clinton because I was engaged to Joshua Meyer (class of 1994) who was (still is) a pastor at the First Baptist Church in Clinton. We got married in Oct. 2002 (so almost five years ago!). In August of 2003 (after a one year stint working at the public library), I got a job as a school based case manager/group educator with Bridgeview Community Mental Health Center. I’ve continued to work there for the past four years. I work with emotionally disturbed/troubled youth by teaching them psycho-educational skills. My true passion still lies within the field of religion and ministry, though, so I try to help out with my husband’s work through the church quite a bit. In May 2006, we had a son, Ezekiel “Zeke”, and now we are expecting another baby due May 2008. So, we’re busy people (like the rest of the world). Also, my husband is running for mayor of Clinton come this election Nov. 6. So we shall see what happens!
Just thought I’d fill you all in!
