Missing Classmates: Part A

Hello all!

We are working on plans for our 10 year reunion. We would like to have as many classmates as possible in attendance. In order to do that, we need to find everyone. Hello fellow classmates! Here's a quick update on what I've been doing over the past ten years! After graduating from CHS, I attended the University of Northern Iowa and received my degree in Early Childhood Education. During my junior year I met my husband Jeff at the church we were both attending. He had graduated from the University of Missouri and took a job with John Deere in Waterloo. We got married after I graduated and just celebrated our 6 year anniversary. I taught for two years, then subbed in the surrounding school districts until we had our first daughter Ava. We moved to the Des Moines area two years ago and we just love it here. Jeff is now a Senior Systems Engineer with John Deere IVS in Urbandale and I have the privilege of staying home with Ava, 3, and our second bundle of joy, Claire 14 months. We attend Jordan Creek Family Church in West Des Moines where I am the Director of Early Childhood Education. We're keeping busy this summer with lots of outdoor activities and travelling to visit family around Iowa and in Nebraska. If you'd like to get in touch, you can find me on Facebook! Wzup everybody, Since graduation I have moved to North Carolina where I met my lovely wife Melissa. I started working for UPS customer service, from there I waited tables at a local restaurant, not too impressive but, that is where I met Melissa. After that I started working as a mechanic and have been doing that for 7 years now. I just recently started my own internet marketing company and working hard to get it going. Our goal is to have Melissa home by the end of this year. We want to get her home ASAP because we are expecting our first child. She is due Aug 16th and her name is Abigail. Well i guess that about sums it up hope to see you all soon.

Chiara Hurst Yeates

Hi! It is Chiara Hurst, now Yeates. After graduation I attended Brigham Young University. I met my husband, Ken, on a blind date the first weekend back to school for my sophmore year. He bought my ring 4 weeks later and this summer marks our 8 year anniversary. I graduated in 2002 with a degree in Early Childhood Education and 7 1/2 months along with our first son, Kenny. I literally looked like a whale in the cap and gown. Six weeks later, we moved to Friendswood, TX (30 minutes south of Houston) and have been here ever since. I started my teaching career in 1st grade and we bought our home. Our second son, Nathan, was born February of 2005- on his Daddy's birthday. Currently, I am teaching kindergarten and love it! My husband is a helicopter pilot. My boys are 5 and 3, with our third baby due in February of 2009. There have been a few bumps in the road, but our family means everything to us and we are very happy with how life has turned out.

The date for the Class of '98 Reunion has been set for September 26-27, 2008 in Clinton, Iowa. This is CHS Homecoming Weekend and coincidentally 11 years after our own Senior Homecoming Celebration. Watch this site for details in the coming weeks.

Classmate Update: Jennifer (Shaff) Fogarty

Hi Everyone! It's Jennifer (Shaff) Fogarty. Since Graduation I have done a lot of traveling and moving. Before leaving Iowa, I completed massage therapy school, graduating as class salutatorian . I have lived in Portland, Oregon, where I met my husband, Matthew. He was a chef in the restaurant where I was a manager. We worked together for a little over a year before we quit our jobs and spent the summer on the road touring the US. We camped and stayed with friends all along the way. We visited Crater Lake National Park, Arches National Park, the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Santa Barbara, Denver, and Cedar Point Amusement Park among other things. Then we went to Europe for about six weeks. We stayed with my Aunt outside of Frankfurt Germany for most of the trip but we also took short trips to Venice, Prague, London, Austria, and the Champagne region in France. When we returned we settled in Sacramento, CA where we married before our son, Maxemillian, was born. Leaving Sacramento a little over a year ago, we purchased our first house in Lakeville, Minnesota. My husband is the executive chef of two restaurants in the Mall of America. I am currently the Administrative Assistant for fashion designer Yana German, of the Yana Collection. I love being able to work from home so I can take care of Max who is now almost a year and a half.
