I went to the University of Iowa and got a B.S. in Biological Sciences. During my time there I played soccer for the University of Iowa. I did medical research with various labs while earning my degree. I also studied abroad for 6 months in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia with Steffen Nass. After college I worked for a year at Integrated DNA Technologies developing microarray printing technologies. After that I worked for Pioneer Hi-Bred International researching molecular markers for corn and soybeans. Now I am a pharmaceutical sales representative for Johnson & Johnson. I live in Bettendorf, IA now with my wife Christine (married 6/10/06).
